-Ronald Reagan This is a much more profound statement than it seems to be at first. The home (dinner table) is where children watch their parents’ choices while hearing their instructions and beliefs. The family in every home influences the direction of our nation - both by the choices they make and the values and beliefs they give to their children as well as people around them. (via theworldofachild)So true! Dinner is so important for the family to function happily! |

I just wrote a paper on this! Seriously! |
These are several books that can build character in children. An absolute must for any school teacher!

Recommend this book for future teachers! :) It shows how teachers can help children who are going through problems.
I could use this even now.
Child development theories consider biology, culture, cognitive processes, the physical environment and the historical and social contexts and how these influences dynamically interplay with the process of continuous change across the lifespan of an individual. Another factor to consider is spiritual development: how a child searches for and finds transcendental meaning. This is different from the development of faith and/or religion.
This article suggests some stages of faith development related to developmental stages. Perhaps faith and religion are the scaffolding that aid spiritual understanding.
Loved this post because spiritual development is important. Even if your Atheist or agnostic you have to resolve those conclusions yourself. Even if you are not spiritual you must come to that decision before becoming who you are. A persons belief in Spirituality or faith is part of their identity and development. Good word!
